Good Fortune
We are pleased to soft launch our latest offering, the Good Fortune Silver Clay workshop!
Our April 25 workshop will be our first 2hr session, starting at 6pm.
The Experience~
Join us for an intimate evening with wine & light snacks to accompany you as you dip your toes into the world of jewelry, creating your very own genuine silver pendant! From conceptualization to crafting, firing, and polishing, you’ll become an integral part of your most personalized adornment from start to finish.
In this $150 workshop, we invite you to dive into a unique medium with us– silver clay is composed of genuine silver & a binding agent, allowing you to mold & experiment with a selection of specialized tools. Once you’re satisfied with your design, we fire up the kiln to transform your work into a solid, genuine silver adornment.
The Ethos~
Our instructors draw from their backgrounds in jewelry and ceramics to help you navigate this material and form your own creative process. We encourage you to explore with an open mind, embracing the both the unexpected challenges and rewards of experimentation.
The Accoutrements~
One genuine sapphire is included in your class materials, but if you’re feelin’ fancy?! We have a selection of additional sapphires, including larger sizes, varying shapes, and an array of colors available for purchase.
A selection of chains will be available for purchase if you don’t have a fave chain already queued up!
Things to keep in mind~
Silver clay is extremely fragile until fired in the kiln. Our instructors make every effort to safeguard your project through each stage, but Good Fortune is not liable for breakage in the creation process. We will do our best to help correct pre-firing breakage, but cannot guarantee results.
Once fired, your pendant will be .99 solid sterling silver, and should be cared for like any other fine jewelry. We recommend removing your jewelry while sleeping, showering, participating in physical activities, or when exposed to chemicals. Silver clay pendants can be gently polished with a soft cloth to maintain & refresh a high shine finish.
Good Fortune is not liable for damage to completed silver clay pendants, or stones set within, resulting from improper handling or general wear & tear.
Kilns, by nature, are high temperature equipment, and should not be approached by participants under any circumstances. Some tools may be sharp and require attention to safety guidelines provided by staff. Good Fortune claims no responsibility for injuries incurred from improper tool usage or deviation from instructions around the kiln or any other relevant equipment.
The Silver Clay Pendant workshop is $150, not including additional sapphires. Your non-refundable deposit is credited towards your final balance. This deposit is transferrable to another date with a minimum of 48hrs notice.
All sales are final.
