HISTORY~
The French phrase “plus qu’hier moins que demain” is inspired from a famous French love poem, The Eternal Song, written by Rosemonde Gérard in 1890.
The phrase became celebrated as an expression of ever-growing love when, in 1907, a Lyonnais jeweler, Alphonse Augis, had the idea of making a medallion with the core portion of the verse engraved on it. The pendant and verse translates to “Love you more (+) than yesterday, but less (-) than tomorrow”.
